I've been writing my novel for years. During that time I've refined HOW I, as an individual, write and edit a novel. It's been amazing and I'm addicted. Now the time to publish is staring me down and challenging me like a large bull.
The prep for the next step was invigorating but with the moment of truth charging me down, all I have is a little red flag to wave about. In plain talk, I'm dithering around making non-essential edits. (Okay, there are still some essential edits but mostly I'm just doing what I already know how to do...)
Hi, my name is Ellen and I'm scared of the next step to publish my novel. (Crowd responds: Hi Ellen)
I want a checklist. I want someone to hold my hand. I want to know the future.
But deep down, I want even more to move past this hurdle and free-fall into the unknown possibilities.
.... someone push me off this cliff, k?
